Cute Idea, Flawed Execution
By Olivia Stabler
My daughter loves Rainbow Dash and Play Doh, so I thought this would be a great toy for her, but I'm disappointed with it. In the box, you get the Rainbow Dash, a pair of dough scissors, and 6 very tiny cans of Play Doh in purple, pink, green, yellow, blue, and orange. I did like that the Rainbow Dash has molds built onto it, but they are very hard to get the dough out of, such is the case of the dough extruder on the top of Rainbow Dash's head.
The problem with the extruder is that you can't fit that much dough into the hole and when you push down, the door keeps popping open and when the "hair" comes out, it isn't in a continuous flow because you have to keep stopping to add more dough, so it ends up breaking off. Pretty much a bummer for my daughter and we rarely use it. I do really like the scissors and we use them even without the pony and can use the raised designs on them to make impressions in the dough. I also wish that the dough cans it came with were larger because once you mix the colors in the extruder for the hair, it eventually turns an ugly dark color from repeated use of the dough. Lastly, the wings keep falling off of the pony. The idea of the pony is cool, but the execution is quite flawed.
Cute Playdoh Horse toy

This is a cute little toy that my little one loves. It came with 6 different color tubs of playdoh, a pair of play scissors and the horse. The horse features different places to place the playdoh to make designs, fill it's wings and make it have hair. It's very easy to use, seeing my completely supervised 2 year old can work it perfectly. The reason for 4 stars is because some of the places when playdoh is put in, it can be a pain to get out.
Example her tail, up towards the top it gets thinner and I have to use a toothpick to get it out. Another example, if you pop the wings off, there's a long rectangle place, obviously, where the wings pop back in. Do not let your child put playdoh in that spot!!! It was so hard to get all the playdoh out of that crack. Other than those two cons, it's a very cute toy and I recommend to anyone whos child loves horses and playdoh. It's also a lot bigger than I expected. It's not huge but not super small either.

Great play-doh game, incorporating different aspects of stamps, molds, and ... pushing doh through things. (not sure what the word is for that)
Really good sized, and tons of fun for little kids!

Fun toy! The designs are cute and detailed. When playtime is finished, the dough releases easily for cleanup. We used a toothpick to get in out of the tiny places. Perfect rainy day activity for our 8-year-old. Would probably be fun for younger children, but they may not have the patience to fill in the many details. I don't think our girl would have gotten much use out of it before age 6, as she would not have been able to sit and concentrate long enough until that age.

My two year old loves this! The wings keep falling off when she puts pressure on the pony trying to squeeze the play doh out to produce the hair. And she always complains that the wing is broken when it falls off. I know it's meant to be taken off, but I'm gonna just crazy glue together. The play doh does dry out pretty fast, so after not playing you have to put the dough back together not leave in pieces cause it won't last too long after.
