I recently got the chance to review this product for free from Hasbro. I gave it my kids yesterday and they were all excited to try it. My 3 & 5 year olds wanted to play it but the 9 & 11 year olds were uninterested. Out the box you need to put it together a little bit but its pretty simple and fast. There are three separate playing parts that you must attach and allows for three kids to play and you must attach the moving bucket in the middle. Very simple, these pieces go right on. You must also supply a size C battery to allow the bucket to move.

Once we got it all set up, I helped my kids to make the balls to launch for the game. They liked this part, it was fun for them. We then turned the game on so they could launch the balls and the excitement lasted maybe five minutes. They started getting frustrated because not many were making it in and just wanted to place it in there themselves. I tried and was able to make it every once in a while but once the bucket gets about half full, it's almost impossible to make any go in unless you move them around or take some out.
After they got done with that part, I showed them that they could just make shapes with their play-doh. There are about ten different shapes on each players launch pad and this is what they liked the most. Overall, I'm glad I didn't buy this game & I probably wouldn't recommend it. My kids just didn't like the actual game play aspect of this toy.
The kids are better at this than their father!

Well, my oldest son saw this on a YouTube video and just "had" to have it for his birthday. He told me over a month ahead of time and I couldn't find it anywhere but here. They LOVE this and actually try to keep the play-doh contained instead of not caring where it goes.

The kids played with their father and in the first 20 minutes the oldest only missed 1 or 2 shots, the youngest missed about 1/3 of his shots, and their father missed all but 1 shot! So, this was a great way to make the kids show up their Daddy! ;) Hahahaha!
Failure to Launch

I am a BZZAgent and received this game free from Hasbro.
The Play Doh Launch O Rama did not exactly take off in my house. I have two young children who love to play with Play Doh so initially they were very excited to try out this new toy.

The packaging is bright, colorful and it is fairly easy to set up- takes less than five minutes. I thought the three different colored containers of Play Doh were a generous addition; it allows each player to have their own color while playing the game.
The game itself looks cute and the concept is fun and easy to grasp for little ones. My kids enjoyed making their own Play Doh balls using the mold (which works well) there were some other random molds that can be made as well. For a very short time my children, 3 and 5 years old did show interest and had some fun playing.
Our main issue with the game was that the spinner-mouth mechanism just didnt function as it should. The spinner constantly gets jammed and sticks in place and after having to help it along several times, my kids got frustrated and lost interest, as did I. It also makes a loud ticking sound once it gets jammed. The launcher doesnt really launch well either. After just a few successful launches the mouth became too full and you really couldnt continue on without stopping the game and removing the Play Doh. Lastly, once youve constructed the game I found it difficult to place the pieces back into the box.
Overall, my family was not impressed with this game. Unfortunately, my children quickly lost interest after a few times of play. The fun was minimal and short lived, maybe 10-15mins of real time use because it just did not work as well as we had expected. I would not recommend or purchase this product.
HUGE HIT!!! The giggling can be heard down the hall. Kids like this game!

When I first saw this & heard "Launching Play-Doh" I had mental images of colored Play Doh splattered on the wall or worse yet, on each other like Paint Gun warfare.
Relax-this is fairly self contained and quite funny.
Although, it's relatively self-contained, be aware that the Play-Doh character is moving constantly. He rotates, moves his "torso" in anterolateral positions and opens and shuts his mouth. The player must time it exactly to launch the Play-Doh Missile to get it into the mouth. That's not all that easy to do, and your kids will develop skills of timing and trajectory-but they just think they are playing a game. Learn while laughing.
Here in Alaska, the winters are quite dark and long, so it's always great to have plenty of fun indoor games for the kids. In the summer, they're outside for hours, so I expect this little game to get more action indoors in the dark days ahead. But, when they saw the funny character on the box, summertime not withstanding, they wanted to play it immediately. Forget saving it for winter!
The description is accurate: a battery is required, but it doesn't run down right away. Ages 4 and up have fun with this. This toy holds more interest for the little 4 yo girl, although her 7 year old brother and same age group cousins like it a lot. So, four kids in our immediate test group give it a BIG thumbs up.
They just laugh and squeal and nobody gets hurt! (And the walls are fine).
I hope my review is helpful for you! Thanks for your time.
